iFixit Repair Business Toolkit

We started with our favorite one-two punch: the Pro Tech Toolkit and Magnetic Project Mat. With these, you can fix just about anything—and stay organized while doing it.

Our Pro Tech Toolkit is our teardown team's favorite with a tool for just about everything. But repair technicians often need some next level screwdrivers for heavy use and (tedious) repetition. So, we're including our Marlin Screwdriver Set. It's a comprehensive set of fixed-blade screwdrivers designed for small electronics repair. Each screwdriver shaft is made of high-quality SVCM steel with the tip coated in black oxide. Each rubberized ergonomic handle is capped with a color-coded swivel top for easy use.

With heavy use screwdrivers, we thought we should include extras of all the plastic opening tools and picks. These tools are made of soft plastic and designed to break. It's better that the tool tip break than a device bezel tear.

We haven't yet gushed about the Magnetic Project Mat—so we're gonna do that now. Necessity is the mother of invention—and surely that was that the case with this tool. With device manufacturers vying for Guinness' World Record for Tiniest Screw it's a race to the microcosmos. Too many screws disappeared into the shag carpet at iFixit's global HQ. So this handy tool uses tiny, invisible magnetic hands to lovingly hold screws on the sideline while you complete the repair. And, it has a rewritable surface (and a dry-erase pen) so you can keep good notes.

So much potential repair-ability is in these tools. We want to make it easy for you to take your repair on the road.
